The late Michael Fox starred as Saul Feinberg, loyal companion and close confidant to fashion tycoon Sally Spectra on the daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful.

Fox, a veteran stage, screen and television actor often played against many outstanding leading ladies including Mae West, Joan Crawford, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Betty Davis.

On stage, where his career began to take shape in the late 40's, Fox appeared on Broadway in The Story of Mary Suratt starring with Dorothy Gish. From his New York beginnings Fox took his talents west and during the 50's was under contract with two leading studios, Columbia Pictures and Warner Bros.

Continuing to cross mediums through his career, Fox toured in Gaslight with Dana Andrews, Sextet with Mae West and appeared on the very first television daytime drama, Clear Horizons for CBS.

Fox appeared in several feature films including The Longest Yard, Young Frankenstein, Quicksilver and What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?

Fox added an extensive list of television appearances to his credit. He guest starred on The Hogan Family, Cagney & Lacey, MacGyver, Quincy, St. Elsewhere, Simon and Simon, Knight Rider, ER and played an orthodox rabbi in an episode of NYPD Blue.

In addition to his portrayal of Saul on The Bold and the Beautiful, Fox held recurring roles on Perry Mason, Dallas, Falcon Crest and General Hospital.

A director and producer as well, Fox was commissioned by KNBC-TV Los Angeles to produce several documentaries on emotional and social issues of the 70's, including women's rights, prison overcrowding and welfare recipients. He was also a founder of the elite actors organization, Theater East, "A weekly workshop where actors, directors and writers can come to fail," described Fox, who began the group 30 years ago.

Fox passed away in 1996, survived by his wife of over 40 years, Hannah and their two grown children.
