Carrie Mitchum Bio
Carrie Mitchum stars as Donna Logan, the innocent younger sister of Brooke Logan, who becomes a high fashion model with big ambitions of her own on the daytime drama THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.
Carrie was born Caroline Elizabeth Day Mitchum in Los Angeles on June 15. She is a third generation actress, following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Robert Mitchum, and her father, Christopher Mitchum. The eldest of four children, she has two brothers, Bentley and Kian, and a sister Jenny. Her father and mother (Cynthia) took Carrie to Europe with them while he was working on several films.
Carrie was educated there, spending one year in England and four years in Spain where she learned to speak fluent French and Spanish. At the age of four, she was given her own horse and soon became an expert jumper, winning medals and trophies in various competitions.
Returning to the United States, Carrie attended prep school in New England. Although she was always interested in acting, she didn't envision it as a real career and was mainly interested in horses. She attended Dartmouth for one year and then transferred to the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she began appearing in various student productions.
After a stint with a brokerage firm on Wall Street, Carrie decided to pursue an acting career. She discussed this with her father, who stressed both the positive and negative sides of the profession, but offered his support in whatever decision she made. She then enrolled in the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse, studying with the renowned Sanford Meisner and with Ron Stetson.
In her spare time, Carrie continues to ride and enjoys all sports, especially snow skiing, swimming and tennis. She also loves to cook.
