Michael Swan Bio

Michael Swan portrays Adam Alexander/Myles Fairchild, on the daytime drama THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.

Michael's interest in theatre was noticed at age 6, when he managed to memorize his mother Alys' lines before she did in preparing for her performance as Titania, in a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. His first acting roles began at age 7 with the Palo Alto Children's Community Theatre followed by numerous roles in the Palo Alto Adult Community Theatre.

While supporting himself as a young actor in San Francisco, Michael became involved in the family wine business in Sonoma County, CA, where he learned to appreciate fine wines and international cuisine. As a result, he became a wine consultant for some of the state's finest wine retailers before landing a recurring role on Medical Center for CBS.

His big break with CBS led to over 50 guest starring roles on shows such as Magnum P.I., Murder She Wrote, MASH, Vegas, and The Rockford Files. And in 1979, Michael starred in Cliffhangers for NBC. In addition to his television work, Michael continued to appear on stage, which included a seven-year run as Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew.

In 1986, Michael began a long run as Duncan McKechnie, for almost ten years on As The World Turns. In 1996 and 1997 he appeared on ABC's One Life To Live, where he portrayed Bishop John Carpenter.

Michael celebrates his birthday on June 11. He stands 5'11" tall and has brown hair and blue eyes.
