Taylor invites Brooke and Ridge over for a dinner party which makes Brooke suspicious. During a visit, Taylor asks Ashley to be Jack's godmother and then tells Ashley that after tonight, both of their problems with Brooke may be solved. Later, Ashley tells Rick that Taylor has a surprise for Brooke and Ridge. At the dinner party, Taylor makes a speech about this evening being a momentous occasion, uniting them all as friends and how grateful she is to Brooke for giving Taylor and Nick a child. Taylor tells them all that tonight something wonderful is going to happen that will change their lives forever.

Eric tells Stephanie that he is ashamed of all that he has put her through and that he wants Donna out of his life and his company for good. Stephanie invites Eric upstairs to get "reacquainted" but Eric makes an excuse not to, but leaving her with a big kiss. Katie becomes upset to learn that Donna did not end her relationship with Eric and that Eric plans on carrying on with his plan to fool Stephanie. Rick visits Taylor again where she tells him that she knows that he has a hidden agenda of getting Brooke and Nick back together. Rick assures Taylor that he is concerned for her and offers his assistance if ever she needs it. Nick comes across a picture of him with Brooke and her children. Nick places the picture of Baby Jack next to it and wonders if he may have some unresolved issues.

Donna tells Eric the whole truth about Stephanie's blackmail and the events afterwards. Eric concocts a plan to move back home with Stephanie and convince her that he has ended his relationship with Donna. Stephanie threatens Katie that Donna better break up with Eric tonight while Katie assures her that it is in the works. Nick brings James home to Taylor, who is grateful to Nick for his help. Taylor assures James that she is doing much better and that he and Nick have nothing to worry about. Eric pays a visit to Stephanie telling her that she was right about Donna all along; he's has ending things with Donna and wants to move back home to be with Stephanie.

Upset that Donna has not broken up with Eric, Stephanie picks up the phone to call the police to turn Storm in. Donna reminds Stephanie that if Storm goes to jail, Stephanie will lose her leverage of getting Eric back. Stephanie gives Donna one more chance to break up with Eric. Katie realizes, after speaking with Eric, that Donna has not yet ended their relationship. Katie calls Donna to tell her that Eric is on his way to see her and that Donna needs to break up with him tonight. Eric arrives at his hotel where Donna confesses to him that Stephanie is blackmailing her. James Warwick returns to town, at the request of Nick, to help Taylor with her emotional issues. Taylor takes a drink just before Rick arrives recommending that Taylor end her relationship with Nick because Nick and Brooke will eventually end up together. Taylor throws Rick out just before he stumbles across the alcohol she had been drinking.

Storm tells Katie and Donna that he would like to pay a visit to Stephanie to thank her for his freedom. Later, Katie tells Donna how Stephanie has been calling from Chicago to make sure that Donna has ended her relationship to Eric. Donna tells Katie that she doesn't want to break up with Eric and that she has a plan to stop Stephanie. After sneaking a swig of alcohol, Taylor assures Nick that she will be the loving mother and wife that Nick and Jack need. Later, unable to handle the sound of Baby Jack crying, Taylor turns to the bottle again. Donna ponders ending her relationship with Eric as she waits for him in his hotel room. Thinking that it is Eric who has entered the room, Donna turns to see Stephanie standing there instead.

Brooke tells Taylor that she is not a threat to her, but if Taylor doesn't hold it together, she may lose Nick. Jackie tells Nick of her concern for Taylor's mental state and then questions Taylor's ability to be a good mother to Jack. Later, Taylor confronts Jackie on her intentions of reuniting Nick with Brooke. Taylor tells Jackie that if she doesn't get on Taylor's side, Jackie will not have a future with her grandson; Taylor is Nick's wife and the mother of his son and Jackie needs to accept that. Nick visits Brooke where she tells him of her visit from Taylor. Nick gives Brooke the pictures that Taylor had found as the two reminisce fondly about their past relationship. Nick then voices his concern of his relationship with Taylor and if it is going to work. Later, Taylor's hallucinations of Brooke begin again which sends Taylor running the liquor cabinet and tapping into a bottle of booze.

After Nick calms Taylor down, she tells Nick that he needs to get rid of the box of Brooke memorabilia. As he takes the box away, a CD containing the song that Nick had written to Brooke falls out. Taylor then intercepts a text message from Brooke to Nick. After failing to convince his mother to consider reuniting with Nick, Rick decides to talk to Nick directly. Taylor later confronts Brooke about the text message that she sent to Nick and tells Brooke to stop interfering. Brooke assures Taylor that she has no intentions towards Nick, but admits that she does feel connected to Jack and the need to protect him. Taylor admits to Brooke that she's afraid that Nick loves Brooke more than Taylor but that she will fight for Jack and Nick; Taylor will not let Brooke take them from her.

At the Insomnia Café, Nick tells Brooke that Taylor has agreed to be the loving mother that Jack needs and that he will be keeping his eye on Taylor. After witnessing an affectionate exchange between Nick and Brooke, Bridget tells Brooke that her interaction with Nick is inappropriate. Taylor becomes upset to find pictures and mementos that Nick had kept from his relationship with Brooke. Later, Rick pays a visit to Taylor where she informs him that Brooke is the biological mother of Jack which then leads to Taylor having another panic attack. After Rick leaves, Taylor begins to have hallucinations of Brooke. Rick later confronts Brooke and Bridget on if the egg-switch was intentional and then tells them of Taylor's panic attack. Nick comes home to find that Taylor had gone through the boxes of pictures. Taylor has another hallucination of Brooke then becomes hysterical, telling Nick that Brooke is everywhere and is driving her insane.

After Nick tells Taylor that, because of her close call with alcohol, he doesn't know if he can give her the support that she needs or if their relationship can last much longer. Taylor asks Nick if he wants her to bow out of their relationship so that he can get back together with Brooke. Nick tells Taylor that he will continue to love her and keep their family together as long as she loves their child unconditionally. Jackie asks Bridget for her support to help get Brooke and Nick back together since Bridget, herself, had once sacrificed her marriage for her mother and Nick to be together. After Bridget leaves, Jackie vows to Baby Jack that she will not rest until his parents are reunited. Brooke tells Ridge that she can't just sit around and watch Taylor's downward spiral because Taylor's actions may have an affect on Jack. Ridge tells Brooke that Baby Jack can not be a part of their lives and that she must let him go.

Brooke rushes into Nick's office with Baby Jack. She tells Nick that she she fears that their son's life may be in danger because Taylor has been drinking again. Taylor rushes in looking for Jack and yells at Brooke that she had no right to take the baby. Nick defends Brooke's action which causes Taylor to become furious. Taylor demands that Brooke stay away from Nick and their child. Taylor then vows to get through this crisis somehow; as long as Brooke stays away. Donna explains to Eric how her rendezvous with Jake was a result of her sexual addiction and that Eric deserves better. Eric tells her that he loves her unconditionally and will always forgive her.

Taylor has the spiked coffee up to her mouth with her hands shaking, so tempted to drink. Nick comes downstairs, but Taylor tries to distract him away from the cup that she poured herself. Nick leaves without any suspicion of Taylor being tempted to drink. Brooke visits Taylor at home. Taylor becomes irate thinking that Brooke is trying to tell her how to raise Baby Jack. Brooke smells the alcohol coming from Taylor's coffee cup and can't believe that she is drinking again. Even though Taylor maintains that she didn't drink, Brooke tries to call Nick to tell him. When Taylor turns her back, Brooke takes Baby Jack and leaves with him. Katie devises a plan to help Donna break up with Eric. In Eric's hotel room, Donna is on her cell phone with Katie who has just let her know that Eric is on his way up to the room. Jake is with Donna in the room after she had lured him there with her sexual advances. Donna leads Jake to the couch where she begins to kiss him. Eric walks in. Shocked at what he is seeing, Eric asks Donna what the hell is going on.

Jackie visits Brooke at home and tells her that Taylor doesn't seem to have the ability to be a good mother to Jack. Jackie suggests that Brooke and Nick having this child is a sign from God that they are meant to be together and that Brooke would make a better mother to Jack than Taylor. Ridge tells Ashley of Brooke's concern for Taylor and Baby Jack. Ashley tells Ridge that there is a part of her that hopes that he and Brooke find happiness but another part that hopes that they don't. Taylor comes downstairs, eyes a bottle of alcohol and is tempted by it. She pours herself a cup of coffee then grabs the bottle adding a significant amount into her cup. Nick calls Brooke to give her an update on Taylor and tells her that it would be best if she stay away from Taylor for a while. Brooke tells Nick that she can not just stand by and do nothing if Taylor is not able to be a mother to Jack.

Taylor regains consciousness and Brooke insists and driving her home. Just after Jackie suggests that Brooke may be a better mother to Jack than Taylor, Brooke enters with an ill-looking Taylor in-tow. Brooke tells Nick of Taylor's panic attack and of her allegations towards Brooke; she worries of Taylor's mental state and suggests that Nick should be worried, as well. Brooke arrives home to Ridge and tells him of her experience with Taylor. Ridge recommends that Brooke butt-out of Nick and Taylor's life. Ridge then asks Brooke about planning their wedding because there is nothing more standing in the way of their future. Jackie voices her concern for Taylor's physical and mental health to Nick. Jackie then becomes very firm with Nick that Brooke is his soul mate and that he should go after Brooke before she marries Ridge.

Taylor watches as Brooke and Nick seem to be having a cozy conversation at Insomnia Cafe. Brooke places her hand on Nick's arm as he gives Brooke a quick kiss and a connected look as he leaves. Taylor approaches Brooke and makes a scene as she tells Brooke that she has ruined Taylor's life, demanding for Brooke to stay the hell away. Taylor then accuses Brooke of conspiring with Bridget to have Taylor implanted with Brooke's eggs. Brooke reminds Taylor that what happened with Jack was a miracle. Taylor tells Brooke that what happened with Jack was a disaster. Regretting what she had just said, Taylor begins to hyperventilate and passes out in Brooke's arms. Nick tells Jackie about the egg mix-up and Jack being Brooke's son. Jackie tells Nick that he finally has what he always wanted: a child with Brooke. Jackie asks him what he will do if Taylor never comes around and accepts Jack as her own.

The Logan family celebrates Stephen's release from jail. Stephanie calls Donna and gets upset to hear that Donna did not end her relationship to Eric as planned. Stephanie gives Donna another deadline to break up with Eric or else Storm goes to jail. Stephen and Storm leave for Europe to get Storm help for his pent-up rage. Nick runs into Brooke at the Insomnia Café. Nick tells Brooke that Taylor still is not able to deal with Brooke being Jack's biological mother and that Taylor thinks that Bridget is a conspirator in the egg switch. Nick then suggests that Brooke stay away from Taylor for a while to help Taylor get over this. Brooke suggests that Taylor may need professional help because Taylor may have a breakdown. Nick tells Brooke that the thing that would make Taylor have a breakdown would be if she were to catch him with Brooke.

Donna covers and tells Eric that she is afraid that she is going to hurt him and ruin the relationship like she always does. Donna goes onto tell Eric that she is a sex addict and can no longer control her urges to have sex with other people. Eric is shocked by this and suggests that she get help for her addiction. Donna tells Eric that the more serious their relationship gets, the worse it will be so she just needs to end their relationship now. Stephanie tells Lt. Baker and Charlie that Stephen Logan was not the person who shot her and that she isn't exactly sure who but knows for sure that it wasn't Stephen. Stephen thanks Stephanie for recounting her accusation as she gloats that she is the one who is saving his family, reminding him that his family needs to keep their side of the bargain.

Donna tells Brooke that she caved into Stephanie. Brooke thanks Donna for saving their family and reminds her not to tell Storm because he would rather go to jail than to make Donna give up Eric for him. She then reminds her that she can't tell Eric about the agreement, either. Eric prepares the Big Bear cabin for Donna's arrival. After she arrives, Eric gets down on his knee and gives Donna a ring. As Eric is about to put the ring on Donna's finger, she pulls her hand back telling him not to. Stephanie's voice rings in Donna's head, "End it or your brother goes to prison." Donna begins to cry.

Stephanie asks Donna if she loves Eric more than her own brother because if she doesn't let Eric go, Storm will go to jail. Stephanie picks up the phone to call Lt. Baker as she tells Donna that she better run home to kiss her brother goodbye. Stephanie assures her that if she breaks it off with Eric by tomorrow, convincingly and making sure that Eric will never want to see her again, Stephen and Storm are free and clear. Donna begrudgingly agrees. Taylor tells Nick that Brooke will never let him go now that the two of them have a baby together. Nick tells her that Jack is Taylor's son, not Brooke's. As Nick goes upstairs to tend to the baby, Taylor eyes the open bottle of wine, tempted to take a drink. When Nick returns, Taylor's demeanor has changed; she's calmer than when he left her and has a renewed attitude towards their situation.

During a romantic dinner, Taylor suggests that she and Nick find a godmother for Baby Jack other than Bridget because Taylor thinks that Bridget implanted Taylor with Brooke's eggs intentionally. Taylor becomes emotional when she tells Nick that Brooke will always be a part of their lives due to Brooke's biological connection to Jack. Felicia tells Stephanie that Eric had proposed to Donna. A frazzled Stephanie tells Felicia that Eric can't marry Donna until the divorce papers are signed, PLUS Eric still has to wait six months until the divorce is final; a lot can happen in that time. Donna visits Stephen in jail where he tells her that he won't go along with Stephanie's agreement and is willing to confess to shooting Stephanie to save Storm from jail and for Donna to remain with Eric.

Donna tells Brooke that she will not end her relationship with Eric because she loves him too much and he had just proposed to her. Felicia overhears Eric making plans for a romantic weekend in Big Bear. Eric tells Felicia that the trip is for him and Donna; he has given Stephanie divorce papers and has proposed to Donna. Felicia voices her disapproval of Donna and of Eric's behavior towards Stephanie. Stephanie visits Stephen in jail and tells him of the deal that she made with Brooke. Stephanie suggests to Stephen that he pressure Donna to make the right decision.

Brooke frantically tries to get in touch with Storm to stop him from confessing. Stephanie arrives and tells Brooke that she can keep Storm out of jail if Donna agrees to end her relationship with Eric. Brooke is able to contact Storm and Katie at the police station just moments before Storm is about to confess to Charlie. Eric plans a romantic dinner and fashion show for Donna at Forrester Creations where he asks her to marry him. A remorseful Storm apologizes to Stephanie.

Brooke insists that if Stephanie wants forgiveness, she must go to the police to tell them that Stephen was not the shooter. Stephanie suggests that Brooke should tell Storm to confess because Stephanie can't help her; she doesn't want to put herself and her family at risk of Storm ever blowing up again. After learning that Stephanie had turned down Brooke's requests, Storm prepares to turn himself in to the police. Eric visits Stephanie and gives her divorce papers. She tells him that she can't sign the papers right now but will get them to him later. Stephanie later calls Brooke to tell her to stop Storm from confessing; Stephanie has a proposition that may benefit both her and Brooke.
