Poor Katie's wedding day was ruined...
... but heck, she deserved it!
Nick’s been around the block in the few years he’s been in Los Angeles, that’s for sure. He’s had the mother-daughter set (Brooke and Bridget), the tipsy shrink (Taylor) and now he’s hooked up with his third Logan lady, Katie.
Katie was supposedly the moral and upright Logan, but she shot that theory to hell when she boinked her niece’s husband. She thought she was dying... so what? That’s no excuse. Her Catalina love-making with Nick was a slap in the face to Bridget, the woman who’d worked tirelessly googling cures for Katie’s heart condition.
Last week we saw Katie’s big day – her marriage to Nick – ruined when Jackie and Bridget showed up to vent their frustrations. I, for one, was right behind Bridget: Madame X needs to kick Katie’s butt and keep on kicking until Katie comes out with a better apology than admitting “a certain level of guilt about Nick.” How lame was that? Grovel, Katiekins! Get on your hands and knees, sandy pants.
Jackie gave “black widow” Katie the slap-down she so richly deserved when she told her she was “living in [Bridget’s] home, sleeping in her bed, stealing her husband, commandeering her life.” Too right, Mrs Marone. Jackie was on a roll, but she took it a bit far calling cheating Nick “a Prince amongst men.”
Jackie didn’t let it end there, either: “This woman is the most pathetic woman I’ve ever met!” She told Bridget there was still “a spark” between the exes, and Bridget could save Nick from Katie. Strange how Jackie never seemed to be in Bridget’s corner when Brooke was on the scene. I’ll let that one slide.
Beth’s dementia must really be setting in, because she looked pleased as punch that her daughter Katie was marrying her other daughter’s (and granddaughter’s) ex-husband. Jackie summed it up perfectly, it wasn’t love, “he gave you your last dying wish.” Take that, Katie!
At the end of all the drama, Katie didn’t keel over – her heart held up – but she did call off her wedding. Will Nick and Katie make it down the aisle? Does Bridget still stand a chance?
