Taylor attempts to mend Ridge and Steffy’s strained relationship by playing mediator. The meeting between Ridge and Steffy doesn’t end with the outcome that anyone had anticipated. To make up for Ridge’s harsh words, Taylor presents Steffy with a generous gift. Brooke is heartbroken when she learns that her estranged daughter, Hope, will be living with her nemesis, Stephanie. Oliver surprises Hope with a private performance by Jason Castro serenading her with her favorite song, “Love Uncompromised.”

Steffy hires Liam and an I.T. private investigator to help her prove her innocence by verifying that her computer was tampered with. Oliver receives comfort over his rift with Hope from his sister, Aggie, and his friend, Jason Castro. When Hope turns to Stephanie for her opinion regarding Brooke’s actions, Stephanie opens up her home to her. Stephanie then gives Hope advice about how to deal with Brooke and Oliver. Bridget shocks her mother when she questions Brooke’s motives and her intentions towards Oliver.

Bridget has a difficult time comforting Hope while reliving the pain that she had gone through when Brooke had an affair with Deacon. Ridge fills the Logan family in on the events that took place at the press conference and assures them that his and Brooke’s marriage is still stable. Stephanie threatens to prevent Brooke from further hurting any more of their loved ones once and for all. Justin doesn’t receive the response he had hoped for when he brags to Bill about the part he played in the final version of the incriminating video.

Oliver joins Brooke in attempting to get Hope to listen to their side of the story and to forgive them both. Stephanie and Taylor admonish Ridge for blaming Steffy, and not Brooke, about the company scandal. Bridget recalls her history with Deacon and Brooke to Owen, who realizes that history has repeated itself. Needing support and guidance after her excruciatingly painful experience, Hope turns to the person who knows exactly what she is going through: Bridget.

Brooke chases after a distraught Hope to explain the truth after word of the scandal involving Oliver is made public. Shocked by what her video tribute to Brooke contained, Steffy immediately becomes defensive about her innocence to Ridge. Refusing to believe that Steffy was not responsible, Ridge makes a drastic decision about her position at Forrester Creations. Justin is proud of the commotion that his version of the video had caused.

Members of the media gather together at Forester Creations for a video tribute that Steffy has created to welcome Brooke back into the company. Justin invites Liam to the press conference to learn more about how Spencer Publications operates. Steffy is unaware that the video has been tampered with and will reveal more than just Brooke’s accomplishments within Forrester Creations. Lives are forever shattered and relationships are severely damaged by the scandal that is revealed in this public exposé.

Hope breaks the news to Steffy that she will no longer be moving to Boston for college. Ridge bursts Stephanie’s bubble when he tells her that Brooke will be returning to Forrester Creations and that the Forrester vs. Logan war is over. Liam begins to feel guilty about the information that he uncovered, but is assured by Justin that this will impress Bill. Justin puts his deceitful plan in motion. Childhood sweethearts, Rick and Amber, come face to face for the first time in years and rehash fond memories.

Ridge assures Brooke that her and Oliver’s secret will remain quiet and that she will be welcomed back to Forrester Creations with open arms. Liam, Spencer Publications’ newest intern, stumbles upon incriminating evidence that Justin decides to use for the company’s benefit. Despite being blackmailed by Steffy, Oliver is sensitive to Steffy’s feelings as she confesses to him her feelings of betrayal by her father. Nick and Aggie give into their feelings for each other and make love for the first time.

Brooke is confused as to Hope’s sudden change of heart about going away to college and turns to Oliver for an answer. Ridge reprimands Steffy for attempting to blackmail Brooke and Oliver and demands that she remain quiet about the situation. Steffy is mortified when Ridge assigns her to be the one to welcome Brooke back to the company. Nick and Aggie enjoy a chemically-charged evening together on the Shady Marlin where they share their first kiss.

Feeling as though she has nothing more to lose by her confession about her tryst with Oliver, Brooke informs Ridge about Steffy’s blackmail. Hope tells Oliver and Brooke, separately, that she has decided not to move to Boston. Ridge confronts Oliver and demands that he stay away from Brooke. Oliver is surprised by how well Ridge has reacted by the news until the end of their conversation. Steffy quickly learns that her plan to blackmail Brooke has backfired.

When Taylor returns home, Steffy confides in her and Stephanie how soon their lives will be “Logan-free.” Without giving details, Steffy admits she gave the Forresters an offer they could not refuse. Stephanie makes a generous offer to Taylor. Oliver spends time with Hope as she prepares to leave for college. He attempts to comfort her but makes it clear that she cannot put her life on hold for him. Hope begs Oliver to avoid Steffy while she is gone; because she’s sure her step-sister is trouble. Brooke begins to unravel the story of what happened that night to Ridge, explaining to him that she only left Forrester because she’s being blackmailed by Steffy.

While waiting for Nick, Jackie tries to play peacekeeper between Bridget and Aggie. Amber and Whip are shocked and Bridget, Owen and Jackie silent, as Nick arrives and announces to all that the company is in shambles and his wife slept with his stepfather and is now having Owen’s baby. Nick asks for their confidentiality in this delicate matter. Later, Jackie confesses her true feelings about the situation to Whip. Bridget pleads with Nick to give her a chance to make things right. Jackie consoles her daughter-in-law when she returns and tells her of Nick’s decision. Nick makes a request of Aggie. Brooke realizes that Steffy’s blackmail will never stop and tells Oliver that her only option is to come clean with Ridge about what happened between them the night of Hope’s graduation party. Brooke sets out to tell Ridge the truth.

Stephen thanks Bill and Justin for their involvement in his release and asks to have some time alone with Pam. He takes her in his arms and tries to convince her that his feelings for her are real. Stephanie, livid at the turn of events, realizes she must take care of Stephen before she can take care of Bill. Stephanie goes to see Stephen and threatens him. Ridge and the rest of Hope’s family deal with the sudden surprise of her decision to leave for college. Hope puts all of her trust in Oliver and Brooke. Oliver, disgusted that Steffy is controlling their lives with her blackmail, begs her to stop. Steffy, now armed with new information of Donna’s settlement, comes up with yet another blackmail demand for Brooke.

Hope visits Stephen in jail and breaks the news that Oliver has convinced her to go off to college in Boston. Stephen wants to make sure that she’s not leaving because the Forresters have made her life miserable. Once assured, Stephen and Hope share a poignant grandfather/granddaughter moment where he tells her his hopes for all of his children and grandchildren. Furious with Pam, Stephanie lashes out at her sister for not realizing Stephen’s true motives. Pam defends Stephen until the bitter end. Stephanie offers her deal one last time but Bill convinces Brooke and Katie to decline. The arbitrator makes his ruling in the case of Logan v. Forrester.
#5856 Monday, 7/12/10
Brooke visits Stephen in prison and is stunned when her father tells her not to accept Stephanie’s deal. She’s even further stunned when Stephen explains that Bill will take care of everything. When Brooke leaves, Pam arrives with lemon bars and assures Stephen that she is there for him. The two lovers share how they feel about one another. Bill puts his plan to reacquire part of Forrester Creations into action. Justin represents Donna in her arbitration regarding her divorce settlement with Eric. Stephanie offers up a deal that doesn’t sit well with Justin or Bill. As Bill and Stephanie exchange harsh words and fling accusations, Jarrett calls Bill on his cell to let him know that Pam is visiting Stephen in jail. Bill shocks the Forresters, and the Logan sisters, when he refuses Stephanie’s deal. Later, Pam arrives and testifies as an eye witness to the shooting, leaving some of the people furious and others quite smug.

Despite Ridge’s plea for her to change her mind, Brooke makes a shocking announcement to the Forresters about her position within the company. Owen and Bridget are not only stunned by Nick’s warning to Jackie, but also by her justification of it. During a private moment, Bridget crosses the line during an emotional confession to Owen. Because of Oliver’s words of advice, Hope makes a heartbreaking decision about her future.

Confused by Brooke’s latest decision regarding her future at Forrester Creations, Ridge demands to know what prompted it. Bitter from the breakup of his own marriage, Nick issues a stern warning to Jackie about her outlook. Hope is suspicious about Oliver’s recent change of attitude towards her and wonders if Steffy has something to do with it. Owen and Bridget experience an awkward moment when discussing their individual futures and their baby.

Steffy puts Brooke and Oliver on the spot when she puts an expiration date on her offer. Feeling as though they’ve been backed into a corner, Oliver and Brooke make their decision about whether or not to accept Steffy’s proposal. Stephanie warns Ridge that Brooke may soon find herself in the middle of another juicy scandal. Hope is taken aback by the advice Oliver’s gives her about her future.

In a moment of selfish and spiteful anger, Steffy brutally berates Hope and makes a serious threat. When Bridget begs Nick to not give up on their marriage, he makes it clear to her about his thoughts regarding their future together. Brooke and Oliver differ in their opinions of whether to accept Steffy’s list of demands. Not being able to come to an agreement with Oliver about what to do, Brooke pleads with Steffy for alternative terms.

After many failed attempts to reach Nick on the phone, Bridget pays a visit to Nick on the Shady Marlin to discuss the future of their marriage. Oliver strikes a sensitive nerve with Steffy when trying to convince her not to go public with the information about him and Brooke. He is stunned when Steffy gives him her list of demands for keeping quiet. Brooke can’t believe what she is hearing when Ridge makes a confession about the night of Hope’s party.

A desperate Brooke makes a selfless offer in exchange for Steffy’s silence about the tryst with Oliver. Jackie gives Amber words of advice about love and business as she divulges about events that occurred during the years that Amber was away. Owen comforts Bridget during her sadness over the loss of her marriage and gets her to see her pregnancy in a new light. Stephanie warns Ridge that his relationship with Brooke may soon be on the line.

Amber Moore returns to town at the request of Whip, who has an exciting idea for her future. When Oliver isn’t able to get through to Steffy to keep quiet about what he confirmed about Hope’s party, he immediately warns Brooke. Meanwhile, Hope is unknowingly taunted by Steffy about her and Oliver’s relationship. Steffy is determined to go public with her information about Oliver and Brooke, despite Brooke’s emotional plea to keep quiet.
