Eric learns that he may have another grandson as he, Ridge, and Stephanie await the news. Thorne and Bill confer about how one of their lives will drastically change within moments. Despite the choices presented in front of him as a possible father, Liam grows increasingly excited at the thought of being a part of a real family. After much anticipation and speculation, the name of Liam’s father is revealed.

Bill and Liam try to grasp the reality that they may be father and son. Meanwhile, Thorne informs his family, and eventually Liam and Bill, that he is also in the running for being Liam’s father. They all agree to meet at the hospital for DNA testing to determine, once and for all, who Liam’s real father is. Thorne divulges the circumstances surrounding his relationship with Liam’s mother. Feelings are mixed between all parties about the possibilities of paternity.

Katie is caught off-guard when Bill shares with her an unknown chapter of his life and his stance on a sensitive subject. As Liam forges a closer friendship with Hope, he increasingly regrets allowing Bill and Justin to use him to bring down Forrester Creations. Brooke and Ridge remain resistant to Steffy’s demands and are shocked when Thomas arrives and chooses a side. Thorne makes a startling revelation about someone from his past.

When Brooke asks Steffy what she can do to get back into her good graces, she is told that she can take a leave of absence from Forrester Creations. Bitter from being fired by Bill, Liam offers Ridge assistance with the lawsuit against Spencer Publications. Liam hints to Ridge that he is interested in Hope and asks for permission to date her. Ridge warns Liam that he doesn’t want him anywhere near his family. Steffy recruits Marcus to help her to get rid of Brooke by showing Ridge an additional reason to fire her.

Following an overheard conversation, Jackie gives Nick advice about his relationship and possible future with Aggie. Stephanie advises Ridge to treat Brooke the way he treated Steffy for disgracing the company by firing her. When Ridge refuses, Steffy promises to not back down in her pursuit to get rid of Brooke. Granting Ridge’s request for her to have a heart-to-heart talk with Steffy about their situation, Brooke makes a plea for them to work together in harmony. Stephanie cautions Ridge that someday soon he will have to choose between Brooke and Steffy.

Nick and Brooke run into each other at Il Giardino, where they give each other encouraging words about their respective difficult situations. Steffy calls an emergency meeting where she proposes forcing Brooke out of the company. Brooke arrives at the meeting and vows that she will never be forced to leave. Thomas confronts Taylor about how hurt he feels that she gave Steffy the Forrester Creations stocks and warns her about what his sister may do with them. Steffy, Stephanie, and Brooke put Ridge in a difficult predicament by forcing him to make a decision.

Oliver joyfully informs Brooke that he and Hope have reconciled. After eavesdropping on their conversation, Hope informs her mother that even though she has forgiven Oliver, she still needs more time to forgive Brooke. Oliver asks Hope to wear her necklace again. When Thomas learns that Steffy is now part owner of Forrester Creations, Ridge assures his resentful son that he will one day be an owner, too, and is promoted to Vice President. Bill fires Liam after informing him that the company is being sued due to the video tampering.

Owen complains about having to pose half naked all the time for the Jackie M. photo shoots. Taking Bridget’s advice, Owen talks to Jackie about his unease and tells her that he wants to go back to work behind the camera. Liam apologizes to Steffy as he tries to explain his side of the story about the video sabotage. During their conversation, Steffy realizes that Liam has an interest in Hope. Oliver tries to win Hope over again by playing her favorite Jason Castro song, “Love Uncompromised” and showing her that he is still wearing their necklace. Ridge tells Brooke about Liam and how he doesn’t want him to have any involvement with their family.

Regardless of the warning from Stephanie and her hiring of a security guard, Oliver sneaks onto the Forrester estate to see Hope. After witnessing Hope and Liam together through the window, Oliver comes up with a crafty way to get her alone so that he can show her his surprise. Aggie consoles Nick after an awkward run-in with Bridget. Nick voices his concern to Aggie about Jackie and her unconventional marriage. Curious about their situation, Amber pokes her nose into Bridget, Jackie and Owen’s business.

Despite Ridge having declared her innocence, Steffy is still resentful that he didn’t initially believe her. Stephanie angrily confronts Brooke about blaming Steffy for the video when it was Bill that was responsible all along. She demands that Brooke do everything in her power to mend Steffy and Ridge’s relationship. When Oliver respectfully rejects Steffy’s suggestion to start a new life together, she vows to help him mend his and Hope’s relationship. Hope appreciates how well Liam understands her as she tells him about all of the pain she has recently experienced. In the midst of their conversation, Hope and Liam share a kiss.

Hope is grateful to Liam for telling her the truth about the video. While Hope tends to the split lip that Ridge had given him, Liam tells her a little about his past. As Steffy and Ridge attempt to mend their relationship, Bill reiterates to them that his offer still stands to buy her shares. Ridge asks Steffy for forgiveness and asks her to return to Forrester Creations as Head of Public Relations. When Katie learns about the tampered video tribute, she becomes troubled that Bill was hiding information from her pertaining to Steffy.

Hope tells Oliver that she is still unable to get over his and Brooke’s rendezvous. Upset by the damage that has resulted due to the video tampering, Ridge punches Liam. Bill explains to Steffy how Justin and Liam were responsible for her video snafu. Liam saves Hope from a pack of harassing paparazzi and then informs her about Steffy’s innocence regarding the video. Ridge interrupts Steffy and Bill’s meeting and tries to convince her not to sell her shares of Forrester Creations. When Ridge tells Steffy that he knows that she is innocent, she tells him that the damage is already done. Stephanie gives Oliver a pep talk about not giving up on Hope.

Hope is touched by the video Oliver made for her to convince her to take him back. Taylor reprimands Ridge for not believing that Steffy is innocent of tampering with the tribute video. Stephanie threatens Liam’s life, which gets him to admit that he was somewhat involved with the tampering of the tribute video. When Bill offers to help Steffy build her own dynasty, she realizes that he’s trying to get her to sell him her shares of Forrester Creations. When Steffy turns Bill down, he informs her that he holds information that can help her clear her name.

Steffy becomes resentful that Ridge always chooses Brooke over her. Liam feels guilty about the situation that Hope is in, especially when she blames Steffy for sabotaging the tribute video. Steffy refuses Ridge’s attempt at reconciling with her knowing that she still isn’t welcomed back at Forrester Creations. Bill calls Steffy for a meeting and plays on her vulnerability in regards to the way Ridge is treating her. Stephanie interrogates Liam about tampering with Steffy’s computer and becomes suspicious when she notices his Spencer Publications name tag.

Ridge overhears Stephanie speaking poorly of Brooke to Hope and immediately puts a stop to it. Though unsuccessful, Ridge makes an attempt at trying to convince Hope to forgive Brooke. Stephanie warns Ridge that Steffy may turn on him and end up joining forces with the wrong people. Bill approaches Steffy about teaming up with him in exchange for him helping her get her job back at Forrester Creations. Brooke has mixed feelings when she learns that Donna has signed over her shares of Forrester Creations to Bill.

Taylor officially signs her shares of Forrester Creations over to Steffy and subsequently shocks everyone at the owners meeting when she announces that what she has done. Despite her becoming an owner, Ridge stands by his decision of Steffy no longer working for the company, especially after her disparaging words about Brooke. Bill offers Donna a sizable amount of money for her shares of Forrester Creations. With the help of Katie and Stephen’s persuasive words, Donna signs them over. Bill soon learns about Steffy’s shares and plans to use this information to his advantage.

Brooke and Oliver beg Hope to forgive them, but she doesn’t think that her relationship with either of them can move past the pain she has endured. Hope declares that she is going to build a new life at Forrester Creations and will persevere through the hardship of the scandal. Stephanie steps in as a mother figure to help Hope after her emotional encounter with Brooke and Oliver. An argument between Brooke and Stephanie turns violent as they clash over where Hope belongs. Bridget and Owen feel their baby kick for the first time.

To help her better understand what happened on the night of her graduation party, Hope asks Oliver to don a mask and reenact the events which took place between him and Brooke. Stephanie and Taylor fear that Brooke may have done irreparable damage to Hope. Meanwhile, Brooke fears that Stephanie will brainwash Hope into ostracizing Brooke from her life forever. Taylor observes Hope’s actions and calls Brooke with a concern that her daughter may be having a psychological breakdown.

Brooke is chastised by Stephanie and Taylor about her “brand of destruction” which she uses to have her way with men. Oliver suggests that he and Hope leave town for a while to get away from the scandal that is surrounding them. Hope finds a box of masks and costumes from her party and asks Oliver to meet her at the main house later. Despite Ridge comforting her, Brooke fears that her relationship with Hope is ruined forever.

As Hope is moving into the Forrester guesthouse, she visited by Brooke, who begs her to move back home. Steffy blames Brooke for the scandal and tries to get Oliver to jump on her bandwagon. Oliver sees a more sensitive and softer side of Steffy when she encourages him to visit Hope at the guesthouse. Even though Oliver pleads with Hope to forgive him, she is unable to get the images of him and Brooke being together out of her mind. Taylor gives Brooke her professional advice about how to deal with Hope.

Nick and Aggie confirm to Bridget that they have become intimate and are in the early stages of a relationship. Liam and Ed are inconclusive with their findings and are not able to help Steffy clear her name in regards to the video of Brooke and Oliver. Steffy uses her charm to get Liam to further investigate and become her ally in her pursuit to find out who is responsible. Bridget, Owen and Jackie share a moving, yet unconventional, moment.

Brooke suspects that Stephanie is pretending to be unconscious from her fall. Stephanie regains consciousness and calls 911 to tell them that she’s been attacked by Brooke. While in the hospital, Stephanie lists out the many reasons why Ridge should leave Brooke. Ridge sets his mother straight once and for all on the topic of his wife. When Bridget asks Nick again if he’ll take her back, he makes his intentions about a possible future with her very clear. Bridget is heartbroken when she witnesses a tender moment between Nick and Aggie.
