(Episode #5922 – present)

Rodney Saulsberry stars as “Anthony” a street musician and former homeless man who, while on the streets of Los Angeles’ Skid Row, befriended “Brooke Logan” (played by original cast member Katherine Kelly Lang). “Anthony’s” time on the streets with “Brooke” changed both of their lives and the audience’s perception of the world we live in. “Anthony” moved from the streets and now works at the local coffee house, “Dayzee’s”, as a musician, on the multi-Emmy© Award winning The Bold and the Beautiful.

Saulsberry, whose first daytime roles were on CBS Television’s Capitol as “Jeff Johnson” and The Young and the Restless as “Roy Wilkens”, has made guest starring appearances on several television shows such as Monk, Without A Trace, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Taxi.

As one of the top voice-over talents in the country, Saulsberry is known for his voice work on television commercials for Twix, Domino’s Pizza and Zatarain’s.  He can also be heard as the voice of “Joe Robbie Robertson” on the animated TV series Spider-Man and as “James Rhodey Rhodes” in the animated feature film The Invincible Iron Man.

In addition to his acting credits, Saulsberry is also an author of two best-selling books, You Can Bank on Your Voice and Step Up to the Mic.

Speaking is not the only way this crooner uses his vocal instrument. Recently, Saulsberry wrote and composed the song Miracles, which aired on The Bold and the Beautiful on January 13, 2011 and is available for purchase on iTunes.

Additionally, he has lent his melodious baritone singing voice to a jubilant ensemble of background singers on a spirited recording of “Hakuna Matata” on The Lion King movie soundtrack and continued his animation musical journey by singing When You Believe and Playing With the Big Boys on The Prince of Egypt soundtrack. As a soloist, he has recorded two Rhythm and Blues albums that have resulted in two Billboard charting singles, I Wonder and Look Whatcha Done Now.

Saulsberry’s Broadway credits include the musicals, Your Arms Too Short to Box With God and The First (The Jackie Robinson Story).

In 2011, Saulsberry received an NAACP Image Award nomination in the category of Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series for his role on The Bold and the Beautiful.

An avid runner and natural-born athlete, Saulsberry is a native of Detroit and University of Michigan Graduate. He resides in Agoura Hills, CA with his wife, Helen and celebrates his birthday on July 11th.
