THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL won its third consecutive Emmyâ Award in the category of Outstanding Drama Series last night from the stage of the Las Vegas Hilton at the 38th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmyâ Awards. Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell made a moving acceptance speech giving special recognition to his father on Father’s Day, the late William J. Bell, Co-Creator of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. In addition to Bell, the other Outstanding Drama Series recipients are: Rhonda Friedman, Supervising Producer, Ron Weaver, Senior Producer, Adam Dusevoir, Coordinating Producer, and Edward Scott, Cynthia J. Popp and Casey Kasprzyk, Producers.
Heather Tom who plays “Katie Logan” won the Emmyâ for Outstanding Supporting Actress. This marks Tom’s third Emmyâ win.
The Outstanding Younger Actor Emmyâ was awarded to Scott Clifton for his role as “William Spencer III aka Liam Cooper”. This was Clifton’s first win having had five nominations in this category.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s Directing team, Michael Stich, Deveney Kelly, Cynthia J. Popp, Jennifer Howard, Directors, Steven A. Wacker, Clyde Kaplan, Catherine Sedwick, Associate Directors, Laura Yale and Douglas Jon Hayden, Stage Managers and Lori Staffier, Production Assistant, brought home Emmyâ gold for the first time, having received six nominations.
At the Creative Craft Emmyâ Awards, which took place on Friday, June 17, 2011 from the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles; THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL received Emmyâ in two additional categories; Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition with Emmysâ being awarded to Bradley P. Bell, Jack Allocco and David Kurtz and Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for a Drama Series with Emmysâ being awarded to Christine Lai-Johnson, Melissa Sandora, Allyson Carey and Jackie Brubaker.
