A multitude of emotions are displayed amongst all concerning parties as they anxiously await midnight, the hour that Liam and Steffy’s divorce is final. Bill and Ridge make their separate pleas to Liam about making the right decision concerning his relationship with Steffy. Feeling betrayed by Ridge, Hope is grateful to Eric for stepping in for him. Meanwhile, Steffy patiently waits for Liam to change his mind about ending their marriage.

Marcus confronts Justin about the conversation that he overheard between him and Bill. With the finalization of Liam and Steffy’s divorce just hours away, she and Hope have a civil conversation about all they have been through in the past few months. Karen goes to Bill for a significant personal favor. Bill misreads the context of a business meeting.

Despite his reservations about the ill will that is intended towards Hope, Deacon reluctantly accepts Bill’s offer. Brooke desperately attempts to dissuade Hope from wanting to contact her biological father. She confronts Dr. Barton about putting the idea into Hope’s head and explains to her why Hope reconnecting with Deacon would be a very bad idea. Alison is forced to cover for Bill when Katie and Karen become suspicious of his whereabouts.

Deacon considers Bill’s offer knowing that if he accepts, it would be like making a deal with the devil. Steffy has a heartfelt conversation with Ridge about her confidence that she and Liam will eventually end up together again. When Hope learns that Ridge is taking Steffy’s side, she comes up with an outrageous idea about who she would like to add to the guest list of her wedding.

Stephanie reprimands Ridge for his insensitivity to Steffy by offering to design Hope’s wedding dress. Bill and Justin set out to track down their ace-in-the-hole to break up Hope and Liam. Stephanie goes to see Liam to confront him about which woman he is ultimately going to choose. Neither Hope nor Steffy will back down in their stance about who they think Liam will pick.

Steffy issues Liam an ultimate about either choosing Hope or remaining in their marriage. Brooke surprisingly takes Bill’s side when Katie reveals her big news. Hope delves deeper into her own psyche with the issues that she feels stem from her father’s abandonment. Bill assigns Alison to find out as much information as she can about Hope’s father, Deacon.

Bill sends Alison out to meet with Dr. Barton to secretly obtain damaging information on Hope. Worried that Steffy is up to no good, Brooke threatens her to stay away from Hope and to not divulge about Liam tearing up the annulment papers. Marcus and Dayzee excitedly make arrangements for their wedding and honeymoon. Bill concocts an idea about how to permanently get Hope out of Liam’s life.

Bill firmly defends his extreme stance against the plans that Katie has made for their future together. Rick is humbled when he goes to Brooke to tell her that she was right all along about Amber and her wicked ways. Caroline explains to Thomas the reason why she has been forced to keep her family’s secret for so long, and why they continue to keep it from Bill.

Thomas finds himself in an awkward situation as Karen and Caroline disagree about whether or not to divulge their secret. Bill’s uninvited visit during Karen’s dinner party makes the evening even more uncomfortable. Donna and Katie emotionally reminisce about their families as they catch up with the current events in their respective lives. Katie impatiently awaits Bill’s arrival home so that she may deliver life-altering news. Caroline catches Thomas off-guard with a confession about her family.

Amber attempts to justify to Rick why she purposely misled Caroline about him. Wanting to clear the air with Thomas about her family, Caroline invites him to her parents’ home for dinner. Karen insists that Caroline not reveal their family’s secret to Thomas. Brooke’s disdain for Amber grows even more when she learns about her recent negative involvement in Rick and Hope’s lives.

Thomas gushes to Ridge about how Caroline has become his inspiration for the new Forrester collection. When Caroline shows Hope the photos of Rick that turned her off, Hope becomes determined to find out exactly what is going on. Hope interrupts Amber’s seduction of Rick to confront her about the photos and rumors regarding Rick. Brooke and Ridge disagree about whether Caroline should be with Thomas or with Rick. Caroline appears to be hiding something when Thomas asks about her family.

Brooke confronts Liam about the reason why he tore up the signed annulment papers and questions him about his current intentions towards Hope. Rick turns to Hope for help with finding out why Caroline has been suddenly avoiding him. Hope is shocked when Caroline tells her the true reason why her feelings for Rick have changed. Knowing that Rick is feeling rejected and vulnerable, Amber expresses her undying love for him.

As they go head-to-head over whom Liam should be with, Stephanie informs Brooke that she needs to accept that Hope will not be getting married anytime soon. Amber is pleased with her latest plan when she witnesses Caroline’s blatant avoidance of Rick. She uses this latest development to her advantage to work her flirting up to a kiss. When Brooke overhears a private conversation between Steffy and Stephanie about Liam, she rushes over to confront him about what she had heard.

Liam walks in on Bill as he is working on his newest scheme to publicly defame Hope. Hope shares with Brooke her excitement about the new direction that she is taking in her life without having to rely on medication to help deal with her stress. Stephanie gives Steffy sound advice about how to deal with her current situation with Liam and Hope. Brooke overhears this conversation and confronts Steffy about the validity of her claims.

Hope begins to suspect that something happened between Steffy in Liam in Aspen that could affect her future with Liam. Now knowing what transpired in Aspen, Bill interrogates Liam about his feelings for Hope and Steffy. Ridge and Brooke differ in opinion about whether or not Hope and Liam’s wedding will even happen. Steffy pays Liam a surprise visit and issues him an ultimatum.

Caroline gets a better insight into the dynamics the Spencer family. Tension fills the room as Steffy and Hope share a particularly awkward dinner with Brooke and Ridge. Brooke puts Ridge on the spot in front of Steffy by asking him to design a wedding dress for Hope. Hope confronts Steffy about her cocky attitude regarding Liam and who he will ultimately choose.

With an ulterior motive in her back pocket, Amber graciously invites Caroline to a unofficial preview of her and Rick’s new collection. During this viewing, Caroline is witness to a softer and more feminine side or Rick. Because of the tension-filled conversation about their wedding, Hope confronts Liam if his feelings for her have changed. Steffy has surprising news for her family.

Hope makes a final decision about the direction of her life and the future of her relationship with Liam. Steffy reveals to Stephanie that she had an epiphany in Aspen about Liam and goes into great detail about what it was. Bill is more than pleased when Liam tells him about what happened between him and Steffy in Aspen. Hope and Liam’s discussion about their upcoming nuptials takes a surprising turn.

Steffy stuns Liam as she makes the ultimate grand gesture of love to him. Hope turns to Dr. Barton for guidance on the next steps she should take to gain back control of her life. Bill admits to Alison the true reason why he doesn’t like Hope and why Liam shouldn’t be with her.

Hope attempts to justify to Liam the fact that she resumed the pill popping. Ridge and Taylor take the same side against Brooke regarding Hope and Steffy’s current situation with Liam. Ramona tries to advise Steffy against making such a definite decision about her relationship with Liam. Feeling as though she has let Liam down, Hope takes steps to move forward with her life to get it back on track.

During an emotional confrontation, Hope confesses to Liam that she’s been taking the anxiety medication again. Stephanie feels caught in the middle when Brooke and Taylor bicker over their daughters and Liam. After a memorable afternoon with Liam, Steffy makes a drastic decision about her future with him.

An unfortunate incident takes place on the slopes of Aspen that brings Steffy and Liam closer together. Rick and Brooke begin to worry about Hope once they learn about the massive amount of paparazzi that has been spotted in Aspen. As the effects of Hope’s pills begin to wear off, she has a startling recollection.
