My name is Laurie Weinstein and I’m from Atlanta, GA. Having been an avid fan of Y & R for many years, I was delighted when B & B was introduced in March, 1987. I’ve been a member of both Fan Clubs from the beginning. I still remember the first fan club events. Saturday evening was a dinner with Y & R stars and Sunday was a softball game – Y & R vs. B & B. My excitement of possibly meeting Ronn Moss at the softball game was indescribable. I remember as if it was yesterday seeing Ronn for the first time – my heart raced. My daughter, Michelle, who accompanied me to these events, took all the photos. My daughter and I have since attended a majority of the B & B Fan Club events. Ronn, as most of you already know who have met him, is the nicest, most patient star I have met. He will not leave an autograph session until he has met every last fan. Although meeting all the stars at these events has been phenomenal (they are all so wonderful), it pales compared to my daughter and me having the opportunity several years ago to be “extras” at the “Forrester Fashion Show”. There we mingled with the cast as “actors” rather than as “fans”, which was an incredible experience. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our daughter and granddaughter in LA and traveling to foreign destinations. Our son and his wife live near us in Atlanta, which is why we moved here from New York seven years’ ago. I’ve always devoted my spare time to charities, especially The Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, in the hope that a cure for blood cancers will be found. I look forward to seeing familiar faces, especially Cathy Tomas’ and making new friends at the next B & B Fan Club Event.
