Phoebe feels guilty that she didn’t support Shane when he needed her the most. She warns Rick that people who reach out to her seem to die. Rick comforts her. Ridge makes all the preparations for his children so they are well taken care of when he goes to prison. Taylor thinks that she could be investigated by the police for Shane’s murder because she requested a restraining order and is still on probation. Taylor wants Stephanie to use her influence with the police. Stephanie is interested when she learns that Nick can be tied to Shane and that he made a scene in front of Lt. Baker. Nick tells Taylor he’s a suspect but there’s nothing that can tie him to Shane. A lab technician tells Lt. Baker that five hairs found on the Shady Marlin match Shane. Lt. Baker sends a bagged item he found at Nick’s office for analysis. He asks Detective Scott to check out the gun registry for Dominic Marone and Ridge Forrester.
