Samantha is shocked to see that the man who pulled Amber from the fire is Hector. Hector and Samantha confront each other for the first time in years. Hector coldly dismisses Samantha, and she leaves upset. Hector admits to Amber that Samantha is the girl from his past. Thomas confides to Ridge that Hector has a grudge against the Forresters. Ridge thinks the internship for Caitlin at Logan Designs is a good idea but reminds Thomas that Hector is Caitlin’s father therefore; he may have good reasons for trying to protect Caitlin. Deacon asks Jackie to meet him, then tells her that Nick's song went over well with Brooke. Jackie is thrilled about Deacon’s news, and he spontaneously kisses her.
