Brooke is happy to see R.J. and Eric bonding, but does not understand their secrecy. Eric is determined to follow through with his collection. Katie surprises Carter with the news that Ridge feels it is time for Eric to step back. Carter doesn't believe Eric wants to retire, but Katie feels it's time for a new generation of Forresters to take over. Thomas congratulates Ridge on how great his new line is. Ridge confides in Thomas about how upset Eric became that he threw out his stapler and that he feels it is time for Eric to relax and enjoy retirement. Eric tells Brooke to warn Ridge that he is coming for him. Eric worries that R.J. is being put in the middle. Brooke tells Ridge what’s up with R.J. and Eric and delivers Eric's warning.
